Vâtre is a working vineyard with guest accommodation.  All the buildings, with the exception of the winery, are built from original local stone with tiled roofs.  The interiors are finished to a very high standard with every modern convenience.  The original roof beams have been exposed to create a feeling of spaciousness.

All the accommodation is heated for the cooler months, and has high speed Fibre Wi-Fi Internet connection.  Hot water throughout the property is provided by environmentally friendly solar energy.

There is a solar heated infinity swimming pool on the property available for the use of guests.  The swimming pool has stunning views across the surrounding hills and the local villages.

There is also a boules court and table tennis available.

The heart of the property is the 17th Century Romanesque Chapelle de Vâtre which has been lovingly restored. Visits to the chapelle can be arranged for guests.  The bell in the chapelle is rung once a year, at the end of the harvest.  Vâtre is one of the highest vineyards in the Haut Beaujolais and is usually the last to harvest its grapes.  The ringing of the bell at Vâtre symbolises the end of the wine harvest across this part of Beaujolais.

The Gîte is self-catering accommodation on the upper floor of one of the 17th century stone buildings with two double bedrooms.

The house has two double bedrooms, each with en-suite shower rooms and a mezzanine level capable of sleeping up to four children. The mezzanine also has an en-suite bathroom.

Taken in conjunction with two adjoining rooms, La Roche has the capability to accommodate up to 12 people within a self-contained building.  Please contact us for full details and prices.
